I have read thru 2x and will continue to review. Very good and simple ideas. I started using this info this season for my 14u boys and about mid-season it caight on and our hitting improved dramatically without changing any mechanics.

Know a hitter who has great mechanics? Does well in practice, but seems to struggle during the games? Then this might be the book you need. Perhaps the best book on the subject. It can certainly help a player develop an approach to hitting that is likely missing--or at least improve one. Similar concepts can be found in "The Mental Game of Baseball" but it is worth reading both. This book just focuses and expands on the hitting area.

Can't say enough about this author or this book. We bought everyone on our 14u travel team a copy, assigned them three chapters a week, and after the first week most of the boys were already reading ahead and talking about it among themselves. The author keeps his lessons simple and direct and backs them up with examples from the major leaguers he's worked with. We strive to make our players as independent as possible at this age, and this is a great way for them to develop a consistent mental approach to their at-bats and to understand how to set goals, self-coach, and manage expectations. Every serious baseball player from 12 on up should read this book.

I really loved Author's Pet.
My favorite stories were the three involving the characters of Author's Pet, the title stories. After Yuuta hurts Tsubaki's hands accidentally he has to take over the author's typing duties which involve some very sexy writing. Handcuffs never hurt my enjoyment of a story, either.
My second favorite story was Love Battle in the Dorms. It was totally comedic and I felt sorry for Oohashi. Both Noriaki and Oohashi vie for Youhei's affections, and it appears Noriaki wins, but you never know.
To Keep a Cat involves Naruse helping a beaten up stranger, Mutsuki, who was running away from his sadistic lover. When Mutsuke wants to pay Naruse back with sex, Naruse's use of cigarette smoke to discourage him was hilarious. Naruse's cats really added to the story.
What Should I Do? is about Sanai, a member of the school morality squad, and Kaiwatani, his hapless vicim who always has something wrong, and needs to be disciplined. Kaiwatani finally comes to school perfectly dressed which floors Sanai who of course can not allow this to continue. There's no sex in this one, but it's so cute.
The Helplessly Romantic Type has a neat twist at the end.
In Open 24 Hours Sakamoto loses his job at the convenience store that Shirokawa shops at, but Shirokawa doesn't leave him unemployed for long. There's a cute little dog in this story.
This anthology doesn't have explicit sex (soft), although there is sex, but the stories are heartwarming, and I've reread them many times.
There are also 5 extra 4-square cartoon panels after each main story which really add to the enjoyment.

Author's Pet is awesome!

At first when I wanted to get this, I was afraid of what mutti(mother in german) would think if I got something like this since I'm only 16 1/2 and she has a thing against gay people...don't really know why though. But then a dear friend of mine got it for me as a present before my birthday about a year or so ago and I was so hooked on it. While I mainly read yaoi like Junjou Romantica(have the game, the dvd's and the comic's...I just love the show) and Sasunaru, this one is my all time favorite other than Junjou Romantica. I forgot the uke's name but mainly what Tsubaki who is the seme in this one is that he always has some reason for caressing him! Even when Tsubaki is writing one of his stories, he always has the bed room scene to them. It's cute! Though they have other yaoi stories in there, I just like Author's Pet more cause it's cute, funny, and hot! And I think it may be even hotter than Junjou Romantica! You don't have to be gay to read this cause I know I am perfectly straight. But if you are absolutely in LOVE with BoyXBoy, then get this damn book! You'll love it!XD

one little problem....

Okay I just recently bought this manga for my kindle. I really liked it. It was cute and sweet and pretty hot. Not graphic though. I would recommend this manga for people who like sweet stories and nothing really graphic with the love making scenes. I would also recommend that you buy the paperback version instead of the kindle version because I have the kindle version and the words are very small. I can make out most of them but some of them I can't. I don't have the paperback version but I imagine the words are bigger.

About the Author

Richard Webster was born and raised in New Zealand. He has been interested in the psychic world since he was nine years old. As a teenager, he became involved in hypnotism and later became a professional stage hypnotist. After school, he worked in the publishing business and purchased a bookstore. The concept of reincarnation played a significant role in his decision to become a past-life specialist. Richard has also taught psychic development classes, which are based on many of his books.

Richard's first book was published in 1972, fulfilling a childhood dream of becoming an author. Richard is now�the author�of over a hundred books, and is still writing today. His best-selling books include Spirit Guides & Angel Guardians and Creative Visualization for Beginners.�

Richard has appeared on several radio and TV programs in the United States and abroad including guest spots on Hard Copy, WMAQ-TV (Chicago), KTLA-TV (Los Angeles), KSTW-TV (Seattle) and the Mike and Matty Show (ABC). He currently resides in New Zealand with his wife and three children. He regularly travels the world to give lectures, workshops and to continue his research.

I like the book but it is not as "scholarly" as many

I bought this book because it is not difficult to access the information I want and the illustrations are edited to apply only to the topic under scrutiny. Many of the books about palmistry show illustrations of the palm with all the possible lines at once. This is very confusing for me when I seek a particular piece of information I want at that moment. I am a working psychic and find that palmistry is much desired by the public, so have been working with it recently. Many of the books which I have read use such technical vocabulary and involved and complex explanation that I feel that I'm back in grad school. This book is well organized, easy to understand, and very explicit. The illustrations pertain only to the topic under discussion at that time and thus, are not subject to confusion and misunderstanding.
Negative points, it is not very detailed in some of the explanations, and does not cover the topic in great depth.
An excellent book for a beginner or someone who wants to locate specific information quickly and find the necessary facts simply presented.

Great for beginers like me.

I got this book because I was writing a research paper on palmistry. Out of the five books and two web sites I used as sources, this one was the most informative. Some of the books were witten as if they were trying to confuse the reader. This one had interseting anecdotes and asy to follow illustrations and discriptions.

The Best Palmistry Book EVER

I've been learning to read palms for 3 years and I have read a lot of palmistry books, a few of which were truly helpful. The first step is to get a good reference book (THIS ONE)!! I learned so much from this book that I actually wrote the author and thanked him. He was kind enough to write back. He lives in Australia and seems like a really cool guy. This book is simple and to the point, easy to follow, great for taking notes from. I would also recommend getting Health in Your Hands by Lori Reid.

I love this book - and I'm not a raw newbie

I've been trying to figure out the best way to review this book. On the one hand, hard-core rawies maybe won't like the fact that the authors are not 100% raw all the time. But me? I like this. They may say that the recipes are so simple, so why write them into a raw cookbook? Yes, they are simple, but they are very different than those I've seen in other raw books, and I have, I swear, most every raw book published! I enjoy and get inspiration and ideas from them all. But taste and simplicity are the themes here.

In addition to the great recipes, this book is pretty - nice layout, photos, etc., and honestly I am a sucker for pretty books. But again, I am enamored with the ease of these recipes. I think it's almost validation for how I eat and most usually approach the raw thing, meaning - in the summer and early fall and even spring it's much easier and feels more natural to eat a lot of raw. But I live in the Midwest, and in the winter, it is very counterintuitive for me to hunt for pineapple and mango to make a smoothie. I want root vegetables - sometimes cooked - and miso soup. And I won't apologize for that. (There are no cooked recipes in here and none for miso soup, I was just making a point.) I do love the raw recipes that use these root veggies (parsnip, celery root, sweet potatoes and Jerusalem artichokes for example)and I am totally all over the fruit porridges. I'm making my own versions with seasonal fruit and chia seeds, and although many may say it's just a smoothie with less liquid, OK - but I didn't think of it - and I love it. Especially the idea to add celery. My non-raw husband also loved the taco fixings, which we had last night.

I think those new to raw will love these recipes. And those who truly need or want to put something together quickly. A lot of books say "quick" but there are often hidden steps or recipes within recipes that make this misleading. In this book, NONE of the recipes require dehydration, so save for the recommended nut soaking in some recipes, these are very easy to do. Over this Memorial Weekend, the book has been my go-to for some needed cleansing and "body resetting." I think this is a great book for beginners, as well as for those of us who are a little burned out on the more involved recipes many raw food books contain. Right now, this is the way I want to eat, and I'm so glad I found this at a local bookstore so I could see it for myself. I look forward to more raw food books by these two women! (Hope you're working on one!)

Haven't Found A Recipe I Don't Like

I cannot list all the recipes that I love from this book, as this review would never end, but my girlfriend thinks I'm a master chef due to this book, and I never was that good in the kitchen to begin with.

As someone who used to work for a smoothie company, I can attest that the fruit smoothie recipes in this book are the real deal. I've even concocted my own recipes based on the ones from the book, all though the originals always seem to taste better than mine.

Overall this book is an A+. The food is consistently good, the recipes are easy to follow (which is important) and I'm eating healthier every single day, and have even given up fast food!

Please buy this book, you won't regret it.

Raw in all its deliciousness

I've been flirting with raw food for a while now but ever since i received this book, i have yet to eat a cooked meal. All recipes come out beautiful and delicious, including desserts! Raw carrot cake and raw tacos were a hit at an omnivore's potluck dinner and got everyone interested in raw foods.
I do not own a dehydrator and until last week i did not have a spiralizer either, but you really don't need any special equipment for the recipes in this book.
Looking forward to see what the authors will publish next. Anyone remotely interested in raw foods should give it a try and begin with this book.
