Mandy Concepcion has worked in the automotive field for over 21 years. He holds a Degree in Applied Electronics Engineering as well as an ASE Master & L1 certification. For the past 16 years he has been exclusively involved in the diagnosis of all the different electronic systems found in today's vehicles. It is here where he draws extensive practical knowledge from his experience and hopes to convey it in his books. Mandy also designs and builds his own diagnostic equipment, DVD-Videos and repair software.

Not very helpful

Be aware that this book is only 65 pages. That's not much info for a relatively high cost.

The material as presented is useful and clear. This book covers only the actual sensors involved however. It seems to be part of a larger series. For the money, I would look for a more comprehensive book.

The book is about testing sensors. It's a dry read for most but it is what it is. I think it was very informative and provided me with more information to help with my diagnosis.

Good stuff, very informational, but not for beginners. You have got to know more than how to change your oil and add air to make it through this some-what above average technical jargon. And I mean that in a good way.

When I read what Falling Behind was about I wasn't sure I was wanting to read it about high school kids being in love. However that could be farthest from the truth. Falling Behind is about 3 best friends Candice, Titus, and Reese and how being sophomores in high school could be fun but have their dangers as well. When Candice and Reese start dating Seniors their worlds get turned upside down. One is dealing with abuse and denial and the other with verbal abuse she didn't recognized. Falling Behind is a book that both teens and adults should read about how speaking out on Violence in Schools can help protect our friends and children. When your best friend is being abused and you speak up to late the consequences can be devastating. Candice and Reese had one common friend who they could count on Titus read how his love for the girls makes him a stronger person. This is a 5-star read and I know anyone who reads it will enjoy it.

Dee wrote a book about a real, painful subject that normally doesn't get talked about. People avoid the signs and act like they don't see the abuse happening. We turn away and make up a story in our minds that make us feel better. To make us believe that what we saw isn't true. Verbal, physical, and emotional abuse happens everyday and abuse doesn't matter what color you are, what age you are or if you are a boy or a girl. It happens and no matter your age it still hurts and makes you feel lost. Dee wrote this book very well and really made me open my eyes on abuse. If you know someone who you think is getting abused this is a great short read to recommend to them.

Ty, Reese and Candice were all best friends and did everything together. Until boyfriends came around and the 3 started pulling apart. What do you do when you can tell your friend is in danger but keeps making excuses that everything is ok. That the bruise on her wrist was an accident. Do you keep quiet? Do you tell someone? Do you risk losing your friend by opening your mouth? Read this story and find out what decisions these 3 friends have to make.

I give this book 3.5 stars!

What a debut!!

From the moment I started reading I was completely lost in the story. Ms.Avila managed to get my attention and kept it through the entire book. In fact, I could not put it down. The emotions that were portrayed were so real that I felt like I was part of the story. The characters of Reese and Titus just took my breath away with the strength of their relationship. The emotional ups and downs were described so perfectly that I found my emotions going along for the ride. Ms.Avila wrote about some very tough topics and did so brilliantly. Be prepared however for the end of the book. I gasped out loud as I read the last sentence which left me hanging anxiously awaiting the next book in the series. I highly recommend you read this book.

Uneven and generic

These nine stories come from Aesop, the Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen, and other sources of folk tales. The re-tellings are uneven, the four authors vary from traditional to modernizing, and the nine illustrators are faithful to the re-tellings. Catherine McCafferty's version of "The Ant and the Grasshopper" has a happy ending, in which the grasshopper mends his ways. Lisa Harkrader's "City Mouse and Country Mouse" loses all its power by concluding with a "to each his own" ending; however she did better with "The Nightingale," preserving some of the charm of the Andersen tale. Jennifer Boudart's "Brave Little Tailor" (Grimm) and "Brownie of Blednock" (Scottish folk tale) are well-crafted, age-appropriate renderings of the originals. All of the preceding are published authors; I was unable to find any information on Brian Conway, the author of four of these tales, but I find it curious that (1) Saint George has no cross whatsoever, no mention of Christ; (2) "The Golden Goose" ended abruptly, as if he'd given up on the story; (3) "The Wild Swans" glossed over the element of witchcraft, and (4) Morgiana ("Ali Baba") is not a slave. Getting a little generic, are we? Children love stories with morals, and this collection gets a "C".

Karl N. Llewellyn (1893-1962) was a professor of law at the University of Chicago Law School and, for more than 25 years, at Columbia University Law School. A masterpiece now in a 21st century format

I was pleased to discover that this classic work was available in a Kindle edition. I became familiar with "The Common Law Tradition" in law school through my law school dean/professor, Soia Mentschikoff (Llewellyn's widow, if you somehow don't know of her) and the techniques described on how to analyze appellate courts was one of the most interesting and useful things I learned in law school. I prized that book, and I made the mistake of lending the book to another lawyer who did crimnal appellate work, and they never returned that copy. So having a copy again via the Kindle Edition, all these years later is a godsend.
It is still a masterful and relevant work for all practicing lawyers, or for anyone who truly wants to understand how the common law tradition works in an appellate court setting.
