LAWRENCE HILL is the award-winning and internationally bestselling author of The Book of Negroes, which was made into a six-part TV mini-series. "Indeed a Masterpiece"

The front cover stated "Masterpiece" and indeed it was . It was well written , very descriptive and engaging from the first page to the very last. I thought it would take me a while to read it because of it's size.....but no I licked through this in a week and a half . I look forward to reading more from this author.

Thrilled to own a copy of this excellent book

On vacation, many of my friends were reading this book and passing it around for others to read. All loved it. I watched the program and knew I wanted to have a copy of the book for my own to keep and re-read. Ordered it and I couldn't be more pleased. The quality of the book pages and photos are far better than I anticipated for the paperback edition.
