Not detailed enough, too abrupt ending

The story started out interesting enough to grab my attention. But as the story progressed details of lives were left either unsaid or partially finished. Key points were glaringly absent such as what happened to Alec's mother as a result of her jealousy and malice. Also, the story came to a very abrupt end. No resolution as far as the Grant Clan finding out about what Alec's mother did to their clan daughter. What happened when the child was born, so Edward was a boy, big deal, what happened after that?????? Would have been a better read had these details been addressed! Hopefully the next book is better thought out and ended properly.

Action and romance

The story line is good. A lot of action, but the author is very repetitive in her wording, there are more words than unceremoniously in the English language. The characters are genuine but they need more depth. And when you dispose of a character simply saying that so and so turned their wrath on this person who is a main player in the story isn't enough. Sorry no spoilers. But again I adored the plot and love authors who write about strong women!

Where is the conversations?

65 percent into the book and I have mix feelings. Wife just said she loved her husband and I find completely stupid and unbelievable. They had sex one time and that was the most time they spent together. First day at her new home she thinks he doesn't want her sitting with him at the dinner table and not sharing his bedroom with him. The next day he leaves without saying good bye and she doesn't see him for three months. The have never had a conversation longer than 3 mins and when he comes back he ignores her and goes with his mother without one single word. So how in the world am I to believe she is in love with him. They have spent less than a week together and he has not done one thing to fall in love with. Sex doesn't equal love,especially if it was first first time and its in the middle of the Forrest.
It was very disappointing. There are more pages in this book the words spoken between the couple who are so much in love. That to me was a joke. At least 90 percent of this book was what was going on in people's mind.
I rate it a two overall because it wasn't the worst I have read. I will read one more book before I give up on the author completely. I do not think it is worth the money.
